As we enter the Days of Awe, a sacred time of reflection, reckoning, and return, we are invited not only to examine our individual lives but to reflect on our place within a wounded and beautiful world. These days hold up a mirror to our souls and our society. They ask: Where have I missed the mark? Where have we missed the mark?
The Torah commands: “Lo ta’amod al dam re’echa”—do not stand idly by the blood of your neighbor (Leviticus 19:16). This verse is a direct and urgent reminder that teshuvah is not passive. Real repentance demands movement toward those who are hurting, toward those we’ve wronged, and toward a world that cries out for justice.
The High Holidays are not only about personal healing, but about collective awakening. As we confess our missteps and realign our values, we must also commit to action. To be indifferent in the face of harm is to be complicit.
Join Taste of Olam Haba for these sacred days to show up for each other, for the stranger, for the planet, and for our future.
Registration is required. Additional details will be shared as the event dates approach.
Our programs are open to everyone (Jewish or not), and we offer a sliding scale for registration fees. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
