Join Taste of Olam Haba into exploring Jewish magic, mysticism, and healing in 2026.
We will gather online each month to uncover Jewish knowledge, ritual, and medicine. You can sign up for one or all.
Supplies will be provided! For those outside of Central Arkansas, we require 1 week to ensure supply kits arrive in time.
February 17 – Virtual Rosh Chodesh Gathering: Adar
Create hamsas using clay, paper, or mixed media while learning about their Jewish, Mizrahi, and Sephardi roots. A ritual for protection, blessing, and open-handed generosity.
March 19 – Virtual Rosh Chodesh Gathering: Nisan
Sing piyyutim as incantations in preparation for Passover.
April 17 – Rosh Chodesh Virtual Shabbat: Iyyar
Create herbal bundles for protection and cleansing while learning the spiritual uses of plants in Jewish folk traditions with Shabbat blessings.
May 18 – Virtual Rosh Chodesh Gathering: Sivan
Learn how the evil eye functions in Jewish folk belief and explore prayers for protection by creating eye bracelets.
June 15 – Virtual Rosh Chodesh Gathering: Tammuz
Craft personal amulets infused with written intentions, symbols, or names, with a special queer/trans blessing for Pride.
July 15 – In-Person Rosh Chodesh Gathering: Av
Create incantation bowls inscribed with prayers, names, or intentions to protect the home and ward against death. We will head to a make-your-own-pottery studio!
August 14 – Rosh Chodesh Virtual Shabbat: Elul
Explore Jewish astrological traditions and mazal (fortune) to inform spiritual decision-making during Elul. Readings will be provided.
October 11 – Virtual Rosh Chodesh Gathering: Cheshvan
Create protection idols exploring the golem as a metaphor for power, care, and ethical creation.
November 10 – Virtual Rosh Chodesh Gathering: Kislev
Use Mirando el Aceite, a traditional divinatory practice using oil and water, to invite reflection, clarity, and inner sight.
December 11 – Virtual Rosh Chodesh Shabbat: Tevet
Use the Sephardi prekante spoken-word Shabbat ritual of blessing, protection, and gratitude, honoring the year that has passed and calling in what’s next.
